Wednesday's 1.30pm-3pm at Victory Park
We bet you have some great tales to tell, and we'd love to hear them. Or maybe you'd enjoy listening to a story or two—something to spark a memory. Either way, Chorley FC is the place to be!
There’s nothing quite like going somewhere where you can meet like-minded people and chat about what matters most. Whether it's your favorite team, a memorable game, a cherished song, or a shared hobby, we’re here to connect over what makes us smile.
At the Chorley Community Friendship Group, we embrace all kinds of nostalgia and shared experiences. Whether you want to talk about past sports events, enjoy some music, play a game, or simply share memories over tea and biscuits, there's a place for you here. We also love seeing your memorabilia, whether it's sports-related or something else meaningful to you. Bring along anything you'd like to show off, and we'll be just as excited to share our treasured items with you!
A collaboration between the Chorley FC Community Foundation and the Sporting Memories Foundation, the Chorley Community Friendship Group builds on the success of similar groups across Lancashire. We offer free refreshments to enjoy together, whether while watching a classic sports clip, listening to favorite tunes, or participating in a fun activity. Our goal is to spark conversations, create new memories, and strengthen friendships.
Our group is open to anyone aged fifty and over, but your friends and family are more than welcome too. Bring along your neighbors, friends, and family members to enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Whether you’re here to share stories, participate in activities, or simply enjoy some company, you’ll find a warm welcome.

Jacob and Thomas had the best time. They love football but both have found an even bigger love since attending here over the Easter and May half term. The coaches are all welcoming and really look after the children. Thank you! We will definitely be returning.
Routine is vital for the those living with Dementia among our group. We laugh a lot – and laughter is still the best medicine we can have! As my mother used to say, “Memories Last Longer Than Dreams” – and long may that continue!
“The pupils were very excited to take part in a football coaching session delivered by an actual football player from our local team, Chorley FC. The coach/player engaged the children well and they all had a thoroughly fun and enjoyable session.”
