Andy's Man Club is a non-profit organisation set up to support men with mental health issues, founded by Luke Ambler after the death of his brother-in-law Andy Roberts.
The group has grown rapidly since it started in 2016, and now has 26 groups across the UK with a presence on social media and various fundraising initiatives.
The organisation is based around weekly meetings where men can talk openly about their mental health in a safe and supportive environment, without judgement or fear.
Jacob and Thomas had the best time. They love football but both have found an even bigger love since attending here over the Easter and May half term. The coaches are all welcoming and really look after the children. Thank you! We will definitely be returning.
Routine is vital for the those living with Dementia among our group. We laugh a lot – and laughter is still the best medicine we can have! As my mother used to say, “Memories Last Longer Than Dreams” – and long may that continue!
“The pupils were very excited to take part in a football coaching session delivered by an actual football player from our local team, Chorley FC. The coach/player engaged the children well and they all had a thoroughly fun and enjoyable session.”
