Southport FC have shown what it means to be at the heart of a community. Following the events of the last month, the club have stepped up to support their local area, showing just how important football clubs can be in both the good times and the bad.
Chorley Sporting Memories is now Chorley Community Friendship Group, reflecting expanded activities beyond sports. The group continues supporting adults with dementia at Chorley FC’s Victory Park under the new name.
It is with deep sadness that we have been informed of the passing of David Murgatroyd, a cherished friend, trustee, and legend who dedicated his life to football.
